VanMoof Troubleshooting Guide
How do I keep my bike maintained?
On top of your quarterly maintenance check performed by our mechanics, here are some tips on how to keep your bike in top condition:
- Check Tire Pressure: Maintain proper tire pressure. Under-inflated tires can affect your bike's performance and increase the risk of punctures.
- Inspect Brakes: Check your brakes regularly to ensure they are working properly. Adjust or replace brake pads if necessary.
- Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply lubricant to the chain, gears, and other moving parts as needed. This helps reduce friction and prevents premature wear.
- Check Bolts and Nuts: Periodically inspect and tighten bolts and nuts to ensure everything is securely fastened.
- Keep Battery Charged: If you plan to not use the bike for a while, it's crucial to periodically charge the battery to avoid potential battery problems.
- Store Properly: Store your bike indoors or in a secure, dry location when not in use. Exposure to the elements can cause damage over time.
- Regular Cleaning: Keep your bike clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth regularly. Pay attention to areas like the chain, gears, and brakes.
