🚴‍♂️ Google x Rybit E‑Bike Program – FAQ

💡 If your employer does not offer direct reimbursement, you may still be eligible for Rybit’s Self-Reimbursement Program. Check below to see if your campus qualifies — and get paid to ride!

 

Please note, only VanMoof E-bikes are eligible for the Rybit self reimbursement program. 

You may still be entitled to reimbursement from your employer. 

 

Who is eligible for reimbursement? 

Eligible Bay Area Employees:

  • MTV, MTV, MFA, SBO, SVL, PAO, RWC and SJC
  • First Month: Full reimbursement for the initial month.
  • Subsequent Months: Earn 10 % of your monthly subscription cost for each day you ride up to full reimbursement.

Eligible Seattle Area Employees:

  • First Month: Full reimbursement for the initial month.‍
  • Subsequent Months: Earn 10 % of your monthly subscription cost for each day you ride up to full reimbursement.


Eligible Los Angeles Area Employees*:

  • LAX and Playa Vista
  • First Month: Full reimbursement for the initial month.
  • Subsequent Months: Earn 10 % of your monthly subscription cost for each day you ride up to full reimbursement

*Update as of June 29th, 2026: Rybit no longer offers leases in Los Angeles, as we are winding down operations in the area. If you currently have a lease and need support, please contact our customer support team.‍

Eligibility & Ordering:

Check your eligibility with the GBike Commute Program to qualify for these reimbursements. If you are not eligible, you can still order a bike at our discounted corporate rate, but you will not receive reimbursement from Google.

Trip Logging:

Trips must be logged monthly in the REWS Trip Logging Portal (go/logmytrips) to receive reimbursement.‍

Employees in San Francisco and New York City can also reach out to Rybit customer support to see if they qualify for Rybit’s Reimbursement Program for VANMOOF MODELS ONLY.

What’s included in the plan?

  • VanMoof or Rybit e‑bike
  • Cover+ protection: 4 tune‑ups/yr, damage/theft protection (deductible), bike swaps, pause option, option to own after 18 months

How to sign up?

  1. Use the Google link on the Rybit partner page
  2. Choose your subscription plan
  3. Schedule bike pick‑up at a Rybit hub or van

How to get reimbursed?

  • Submit invoices through G‑Tax or internal commuter system.
  • Reimbursement typically appears in your following paycheck

Repair & Replacement:

  • Covered by Cover+: free swaps, hub service locations, remote diagnostics

Only for NYC riders

  1. Log bike trips to/from campus geofences in the app
  2. Pay your Rybit Subscription every month
  3. Get reimbursed $10-$12 per commute day, up to monthly caps. We aim to pay the reimbursement out on the 15th of the following month.
