How do I sign up?
You can sign up through the dedicated OpenAI landing page. Click 'Join Now' to create your account and choose your e-bike model. Once you've completed these steps, we'll prepare your bike so it's ready for you to ride the same day.
💡 If your employer does not offer direct reimbursement, you may still be eligible for Rybit’s Self-Reimbursement Program. Check below to see if your campus qualifies — and get paid to ride!
Please note, only VanMoof E-bikes are eligible for the Rybit self reimbursement program.
You may still be entitled to reimbursement from your employer.
What is included in my plan?
As an OpenAI employee, you're entitled to a corporate subscription, offering discounted rates and exclusive benefits. All corporate subscriptions automatically include the Cover+ plan:
- Maintenance Checks: 4 per year
- Repairs Coverage: Up to $100/year
- Lower Deductible: $300 instead of the Basic plan's $500
- Deposit Waiver: No $150 upfront deposit
- No Cancellation Fee
- Free Bike Swap
- Priority Appointment Scheduling
- Extended Subscription Pause: Up to 3 months
- Manufacturer Warranty
- Option to Purchase After 18 Months: Price based on condition and age (not reimbursable by OpenAI)
How much is the reimbursement amount?
As an OpenAI employee, you are entitled to a monthly reimbursement amount of $50. Check with the Commuter Benefit Team for more information.
Can I test out the different e-bike options before starting a subscription?
Yes! Visit your nearest Rybit-VanMoof hub to test ride and compare available models.
When will I get my e-bike?
Once signed up, your bike will be ready for pick-up the same day at a Rybit service hub. Please collect within 7 days.
How long is the subscription commitment?
Choose between:
- 1-month minimum (flexible)
- 12-month minimum (auto-renews monthly after the first year)
You may cancel at any time after your minimum term or upgrade to a new model.
Can you ship the e-bike directly to me?
Yes, for a $600 shipping fee (not covered by OpenAI). This includes handling and secure transport.
If I work in a different city, can I still subscribe?
Subscriptions must be within Rybit's supported service areas. We’re expanding through certified partners soon.

What happens if I leave OpenAI?
You may cancel your contract without penalty. You can also choose to continue your subscription independently.
Can I pause my subscription?
- Basic plan: Up to 1 month
- Cover+ plan: Up to 3 months
Rybit Reimbursement option
- Log bike trips to/from campus geofences in the app
- Pay your Rybit Subscription every month
- Get reimbursed $5–$10 per commute day, up to monthly caps. We aim to pay the reimbursement out on the 15th of the following month.
